I lost contact with over 5000 friends and colleagues around the world.  
Through mergers, acquisitions and career changes, most people either
left their companies or their email address was changed to the new company / format.

I wanted to reach-out to contacts I had made overseas.  But, looking at
the email addresses in my database, I knew the company name (@CompanyName.com) was no longer.

Then it occured to me!  I had left a trail of email addresses as I changed jobs and Internet Service Providers.  If someone was to try to email me
at my old email address they would have received this type of error:


So, why not start a service to help locate people with their old (non-working) email address!

The example we use on our website (www.eForwarding.com) is:


This was Bill Smith’s email address for years while he was at Enron. 
This address is now a non-working address.  And, anyone trying to
contact Bill here will receive a failure message.

Bill Smith has a new address: BillSmithToday@yahoo.com

Now, with eForwarding, Bill’s friends colleagues (and recruiters) can
have messages forwarded to his new address using his old address “Bill.Smith@enron.com”  They can then re-connect with current email addresses.

Speaking to Talent Management Agencys, we were told this will be a
great service for Human Resources to recommend or even register
their exiting employees.
